Trip of the Year 2006 (3)

~~~The Sea, The Sand and The Lady in The Net~~~
Just to let you know what package we took for the trip. Bo liao…
The boat anchored at the island’s small jetty. Yes, we didn’t have to jump into the sea and swim to the shore this time…
The staff welcomed us and they took care of our luggage also. We were ushered into a small hall where one of the staffs briefed us about their resort’s facilities and some minor rules.
After that, we took a ride in a cabby to the resort’s main reception area. Besides Berjaya Redang, Laguna Redang Island Resort is the biggest and most luxurious accommodate. Of coz slightly more expensive too.
While entering the waiting hall, we were granted with a free sour plum drink. Soooo refreshing. We couldn’t check into the rooms yet coz they were still under the cleaning process.
Without procrastinating any further, we changed into our beach shorts and bikinis, put on suntan or sun-block lotion and off we went to play our first volleyball game. Finally, we found ourselves walking on the beautiful sandy beach again after 3 whole years. The sea ever so blue and clear, the sand ever so white and smooth and the sea breeze ever so invigorating and fresh.
Can’t believe we played under the hot scorching sun on the hot sand. Moreover we were wearing black shirts and the sunrays were like hot needles pricking our delicate skins. Anyway, we only played one game. Not only coz of the hot sun, our tummies were also drumming away.
This is when something happened to our poor Cool…
The three guys were too hungry so their mind suddenly created a mirage.
Sporty Big Big Day!!
I realised tat most of the bubbles' birthdays this year were celebrated in a restaurant or diner including sporty's. Well, if it wasn't for a weekday, we would have granted sporty's desire to celebrate in a club. But at least, we made it up to her with a box full of presents!
Instead of the usual custom (9 of us shared a birthday present), we decided to buy her gifts individually and they were all supposed to be accessories or jewelry based. Jolly tried to decorate the box by drawing two bells on it but turned out like this…
Magical theatre restaurant in Sunway pyramid – a well-known place where they usually perform magic during weekends and also serve good foods. Well, I assumed it is well-known as it was recommended by some TV programs before. Two guys were performing tat nite, not magic, just unplugged singing but they were actually quite good.
The manager came to our table when they know one of us was celebrating her birthday. He wore a long black coat and we tot tat he was gonna perform some magic especially for Sporty alas he didn't. CHEH! He just came to "socio" and he took a picture of Sporty. To our amazement, Sporty's picture appeared on the big screen in the restaurant with birthday wishes 10 minutes later.
Upon giving Sporty all the presents, we gave her a task also. She had to guess whom the presents were from. If she got it wrong, she had to stand up and dance in front of us. IF she guessed CORRECTLY, then the person needs to stand up and dance. See below…
All her presents! We made her wear every single of them.
Sporty gave two slices of birthday cake to the guys. It was a casual but fun nite to say the least.
P/S: Sporty didn't once guess correctly the right person who bought her the respective gift. Hey, dear Sporty, FAN LUOI LO (canto)!!
Trip of the Year 2006 (2)
~~~The Journey~~~
18/6/06
In the middle of the night, 3 cars sped along NKVE highway towards north. It was more like a police car chase coz the gold Honda sped like there's no tomorrow and the two Wajas were desperately trying the catch up. One fast car, 2 furious cars…

“Over, over, the Honda can drive slower a bit or not? Waja is only 1.6cc…” Posh and Baby took their turns to warn CK.

Already few hours on the road, some bubbles were sleeping soundly while the others were trying to stay awake to entertain the drivers. Jolly had to talk non-stop and Baby practically had to nudge BH every 5 minutes to keep him from dozing off. Of coz, we did stop for the washrooms and also driver change.

Around 4 am, we lodged ourselves in a 24 hours mamak shop along the highway for our late supper. It was pitch dark outside except for the blinding neon lights from the mamak shop. While the others were glad that they could come out to breathe some fresh air, stretch their legs and pat their stiff buttocks; Groovy didn't bulge a single muscle. What a pig! She actually stayed in the humid car ALONE continued dreaming whereas the others ate away gleefully.

We continued our long, long journey till dawn crept up on us slowly.

We reached the Kuala Terengganu Jetty at 7 am but we had to wait for the boat to arrive. We parked our cars at the guarded parking space. Most ppl came by buses and they looked extremely fresh compared to us. Though our eyes were puffy, hair was messy and muscles were aching, we still felt a sense of triumph.

As CK, Vince and Gutsy took the advantage to nap for a while, the rest of the bubbles went around and shopping. Stalls selling colourful beach shorts, T-shirts, sarongs, hats and souvenirs were already set up to attract tourists. In fact, all the stalls were selling the similar things. It all depends on which stall owner was more “easygoing” to let us bargain all the way…

The boat to Laguna Redang Island Resort arrived at 8.30am. We carried our luggage (not only clothing, but also food and alcohol) and went on board. Some of us were lucky to be seated on the deck.

The day was sunny and the sea was calm. As the boat sailed through the surface of the sea, the sea breeze caressed us. AAaaahHH…how wonderful. Nonetheless, it was another golden opportunity for some of us to rest again.

We passed by island after island, mostly remote islands, till we reached the destination. The sight was oh-so-familiar and it greeted us with such warmness that all our fatigue instantaneously disappeared…

Trip of the Year 2006

~~~The Departure~~~
17/6/06
Posh looked at her watch. It was 11.00pm and she was standing outside the mini-market of the Esso petrol station situated along Kesas Highway. She then turned to face Brandon, the love of her life. “Wait for me ok? I’ll be back soon.”
Brandon: “I know…just be careful”. Too bad I can’t go. Suddenly a huge lorry sped past them on the highway stirring up a gust of carbon monoxide and dusty air which went into Brandon’s eyes. He rubbed his eyes frantically with his shirt sleeve.
Posh saw Brandon’s watery eyes, a bit surprised. “Don’t be silly, dear. I’ll just be gone for 3 days only and I’ll be careful, I promise…” She felt sad to leave her love one behind but yet she couldn’t contain her excitement.
“Ahem, ahem…” coughed Jolly which was just few feet away.
A gold-coloured Honda arrived at the petrol station with Sassy, Gutsy, Spiky and Gutsy’s hubby – CK (not Calvin Klein). Minutes later, a silver Waja came with Groovy, Cutie, Cool and Groovy’s bf – Vince. Baby and her hubby – BH arrived later in another silver Waja. Sassy had bought some food (junks + breads) for us to eat along the “lengthy” journey and she divided them equally for us.
All bubbles were clad in black T-shirts with a big O or whatever tat symbol is. YES, those were Levi’s T-shirts; NO we were not going for a Levi’s promoting road-show.
Our motto: Free to move…
Our missions: 1) Play and have fun nonstop like an EverydayEveready battery.
2) Relax and eat like a pig.
3) Have an eyeful of sexy beach babes.
4) Get piss drunk without fearing to drive back home and get caught.
5) Get a tan soooo nice till Louis Koo has to stand aside.
“Ngo gam yao yeng zong you dan hoi?”
Where else can we do all these? *background music with ren xian qi + ah niu + guang liang voice*
Neither taking the bus nor plane, we had taken the challenge to drive there instead. Don’t worry, we had 3 endao, macho, bigbelly men with us and the rest were backup drivers. Around 11 plus, we fed the cars, segregated the food and passengers to each car and we were ready to hit the road.
Brandon waved goodbye sadly to Posh however she was busy doing this
Posh Big Nite!
There’s nothing more satisfying than having a big foyer with lots of yummy Japanese cuisines waiting for us to pick’em up. That was where we celebrated Posh’s birthday – Shogun Japanese Restaurant in 1U.
In spite of the time we spent in the parking lot searching for a vacancy, it was all worthwhile when we stepped into the big eatery. Look at the amount of food they served!
Look at our happy faces!
We were still smiling happily after we developed a bloated stomach.
The night was still young so we decided to head over to the The Curve where we could continue our celebration. We found a nice looking cafĂ© with a nice name – Winter Warmers – so we settled there.
There’s the birthday cake (smuggled out from Shogun actually)! Don’t remember? Let’s recap. Hhaha…anyway Posh was delighted and she shared the cake with her hubby.
Another big surprise came from the gift. What made Brandon blush and look embarrass like that? A super sexy nightie from Blush!
Get ready to marry la Posh!
